Good article today by Michelle Smith on Paul Westhead and Michael Cooper:

We missed out this year on getting some great winning coaches- Bill Laimbeer, Mike Thibeault, and Anne Donavan.  Maybe once one of these former WNBA coaches get let go by their college, we can swoop in:
Paul Westhead- 2 WNBA season, 41-27 record (.603) and 1 title (to go with his NBA title)
Michael Cooper- 7 WNBA seasons, 153-79 record (.659) and 3 titles

If this Sky team does not challenge for a title (which should be their aim, not just making the playoffs) we should be looking elsewhere next season.

Didn't she just get an extension? She's not going anywhere.  What we need to worry about is getting Betty to take House's position.  Then things will start to happen.

Shades, I wonder what the blame is for House? He takes a back seat is what I see when watching the games.
In the long run. It's better to have a bad outcome doing things right.Than a good one doing things wrong.

House seems to do mostly the legwork for drafting all the college players and during the season he works largely with the bigs.

Would you feel comfortable with House as the head coach of thr Sky? I absorb stuff like a sponge, and with House it seems like he's not all that intelligent.

If he gets all the credit for Swords, then maybe he is not all that bad.

So House is the reason for Vandersloot?

T Woodie...If Pokey gets us to compete for a title, I will apologize to you and state to all that Pokey is a great, great coach.  If we fail to get to the playoffs or just barely squeek in and then get blown out in the first round- please join me in drive to get Pokey and her staff out of town and a competent, knowledgable, previously successful in the WNBA coach in her place.

I was just marveling today how 75% of the WNBA teams make the playoffs each year and we have never made it once in 7 tries.  If I was better at math, I could come up with the odds of that happening which I imagine looks pretty bad.
