Swords with an MCL (needs surgery, not sure when she'll be back) and Zoll with a broken thumb (4 weeks).

This sucks!  EDD out with a concussion, now Swords with the knee and Zoll with the thumb.  Hope they all have quick, complete recoveries.

Hopefully EDD will be cleared to play when the Allstar break is over.

With Swords & Zoll  injuries, do we have the option of signing another player under the hardship exemption (or whatever it's called)?

Yes but I believe they can only pick up one, so they're going to have to decide whether they want another guard or another post player.  Personally I'd rather see us sign a center, we could always play Piph at PG for some minutes and this way Campbell doesn't have to constantly play against taller competition.

Swords is going to hurt...Zoll...not so much.

Possible players to fill Swords' spot might be Jessica Adair or Kelly Cain.

Sorry for showing my ignorance, but where is the info on these injuries found? I looked all over the Sky website including their Facebook and Twitter feeds. Is there a story?

David from the Dishin' and Swishin' podcast first reported the news.  Apparently it was in a Sky press release, but because the team has no beat writer, it wasn't posted on the website and they didn't think to do it later.

I agree we should go for another post player - Quigley can also back Sloot up.

I sure hope EDD is ok and ready to play soon. Three injured players is too much and she may be the one who can come back the soonest.

I really like Swords and am sorry to see her go through this. Not to mention the impact on the team in the second half.

And I think it is bizarre that there is no article about this on the Sky website. Can't say much more than that........

Yes it is very strange that there is still nothing from the team on their website, Facebook, or Twitter about these injuries, even though pretty much everyone knows about it now.  Swords was supposed to have her surgery over the weekend and there's not even the usual "surgery was successful, expected to be back in X weeks" tidbit.  What's going on here?

Those of us who are looking for this sort of info to be posted on the Sky website in a timely manner should stop doing so.  Its clearly not going to happen.  We can still lament it, but looking for it to change is wasting time.

Guess we should have went after Prahalis after all.  Maybe Lambieer will get tired of her in 7 days.
