More awards announced: Sylvia is Defensive Player of the Year (yes!) and (of course) Elena is Rookie of the Year.

The Trib has an article about the awards and an assessment of the Sky-Indiana series (the Sky in 3) The Daily Herald has always covered the Sky well thanks to Babcock-McGraw but the Trib coverage has just started to pick up this year. It is nice to see.

We certainly have a great team with great players. Now we need to get the job done tonight.

I am already so nervous and its only 7am. I think I will be catatonic by 6pm. I have to find my Tums.....

I know, I'm so excited, too! Can't wait for tonight!

Too bad the article in the Trib was about Catch.

And no surprise with the awards because so well deserved! My favorite play is a blocked shot and not a dunk, so DPOY is a big deal to me.

So will the WNBA president now fly to Chicago to present Delle Donne her rookie of the year award?

Maybe since Sylvia needs to get her DPOY award too. She can do both.

Much deserved honors for Syl and EDD.

I admit I was a bit ticked off when I opened the sports section of the Trib and saw the big picture and article about Catch. Now, I like Catch & have been a huge fan for a long long time and yes, she's from Chicago, but this is CHICAGO and our SKY are playing their first playoff game tonight. To have a feature on the star player of our opponent...Angry

GO SKY!

I saw it on line and missed the bit about Catch. Maybe I did not scroll down far enough. You are right, that is really annoying.

I am so sick of Indy I could scream. I will just be glad when this series is over and we have beaten them and do not have to think about them again until next season.

In the newspaper, it was a full page story with a huge photo of Catch and a large article about her. Then there was a column about the match ups.

And yes, Laurel Richie did present the awards to Syl, Elena, and Swin & Catch who co-won the Kim Perrot Award. Then she sat right next to IDChafee.
