There were many things that went wrong in this series and with the season IMO. I think our offense did not allow other players to be comfortable and confident. That adjustment needs to happen moving forward. I am reminded of a scene in Love and Basketball where Monica Wright was playing in Italy and the coach was talking to the team and at the end of his speech Monica asked a teammate what the coach said "he said get the ball to you" That is the offense I think we played most often.

With that being said I think Indy figured us out a long time ago and used or lack of "creativity" to their advantage. Do I think our ladies wanted to win, of course. Do I think our ladies could have won, to a certain degree yes.

Next season I am sure their will be some changes or at least I hope to the palys that we run. I am more worried about the confidence our players will have next season.

To be completely honest I am not a fan of Atlanta so I will not be cheering for them to beat Indy. Ultimately I hope it Minny vs Indy in the finals. I don't care who wins that series but as long as Phx and Atl are out I'm good.

Say what you want about our bench but make sure you look at those starters as well Ermm

And yes I am a SKY FAN but I also keep it all the way real.
JUST WIN THAT IS ALL

I also trust that Pokey will address what went wrong in this series. I think Pokey's biggest challenge is going to be getting this team to look at Indiana like any other team. The X factor for the Fever is how they get in our heads and that effects our game more than anything they do on the court.

A major issue that Pokey needs to address is Syl's frustration with the refs when they're not calling the fouls. Her frustration takes her out of the game. Other teams know this and play her very physical, taking the calculated risk that if the foul is called, she'll be at the FT line and she's not a great FT shooter.  If Syl ever wants the MVP award she needs not let the  calls/non calls affect her game the way it does.

Another big challenge for Pokey is our bench. If we want to stay competitive, make and advance in the playoffs we need a more productive bench. Of course having Swords back will be a big help, we'll still have the height when Syl gets a rest and Carolyn has a nice touch putting the ball in the basket.

Sorry Maven, Indy is my second favorite team, plus I just can't cheer for DeSouza and McPouty.

Hello Chicago Sky fans. This is my first posting. I have watched EDD since her first game at Univ. of Delaware. I knew the first time I saw her she was special.

I am very upset that Indiana knocked Sky out of the playoffs. I am not sure what happen with Chicago but I hope Pokey figures it out. I loved watching this team all year. It was my intention to fly out to watch Tuesday's game. I am so upset that I had to change those plans.

I listen to EDD talk a day after the game and she said she knows what she has to do. She plans to get stronger. Having three fresh players defend her during the game was effective. She said she was very tired in the fourth quarter. I know EDD will come out next season and be much stronger than she was this year. I look forward to many seasons with the Chicago Sky.

Welcome UofD Alum! We Sky fans love Elena too and are very glad she is on our team. Its good to hear she will stay in Chicago during the off season so maybe there will be some events where we can see her.

Hope you make it out to Chicago for the playoffs next year. I am sure playoff results will be much better next year.

Welcome to the Sky boards, one of the best single team talk sites in the WNBA. Don't wait for next year's playoffs, come on out to a regular season Sky game and get the feel of the place. Maybe you'll get  to Chicago during one of our annual tailgate get-togethers. Hope to see you next year!

Welcome aboard UofD Alum!

You're right...hearing EDD earlier in the season, she had already stated she wouldn't go overseas to play. She said she would work on getting stronger...and seeing the way her dad and brother works her out in video's she's going to be unstoppable.

I'm looking forward to it!
