P51D it's no big deal. This is game one. Adjustment will be made...but They really need EDD to get better.

Game one in the bag for Phoenix big. Give them credit...they looked very good!

Now our ladies get to adjust. Credit to them that they never quit.

The Sky has a start for game 2. They won the second half of this one 42 to 41.
I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU BUT THEN WE'D BOTH BE WRONG

This was not the game I was hoping for, but it's over. Time to focus on Tuesday.

Doesn't matter really if they win by 1...it ties the series!
First and foremost The Sky needs to do two things.

1. Forget Game 1

2. Focus on Game 2

One thing that will REALLY make it tough, is if EDD cannot play effectively.

I agree with Carolyn Peck also...if holding EDD out of Game 2 helps her back get better...SIT HER DOWN!!!

I don't think EDD will be healthy until the start of next season. Luckily, she doesn't have the financial need to play overseas, so her offseason is a TRUE offseason.

If not...it's "gut check" time.

I had hoped Pokey would go small and insert Clements in the game. She can get in a zone too from three.

The Sky didn't get flustered out there except after they cut it to 13 before the half and it seemed like they backed off on defense.

Credit to Griner though...she has really worked on her game on both ends.

I am out in Phoenix and was at the game yesterday, I am staying and will be at the game on Tuesday too. Head home Wednesday morning.

Yesterdays game was an experience. It was the big time and US Airways Center was packed and rowdy. The Mercury fans were nice and friendly though. I really think playing in the championship series is a whole new ballgame, just like learning how to win in the playoffs was to us. The first half we were fighting a Mercury team that came outwith all guns blazing, the second half we beat them by one point. If we can keep that momentum going into the next game we should have a much better game tomorrow. I was lucky to nab a courtside seat near the bench for tomorrows game on Ticketmaster and am looking forward to it.

Our team played with a lot of heart and played hard I do not think EDD will be able to play until next year. Frankly I am tired of hearing about all of her aches and pains. Piph and Sloot took hard knocks yesterday, falling to the floor, but got up and kept playing hard. Young is also tough and Syl really had her hands full with Griner hwo has improved a lot. She is bigger somehow, she seems not just a little taller than Syl but wider and bigger too.

Our team is coming up and is young. The Mercury has a lot of seasoned players and are tipping to the older end of the spectrum. Those players like Dupree want a championship really badly.

Looking forward to Tuesday night. There were about 10 of us in one section yesterday so we had a small Sky cheering section.
