Griner is not even in Chicago yet. Arriving Friday afternoon. Game time decision. She had a retinal procedure yesterday in Phoenix.

Mercury @ Sky 9/12 GDT:

THIS GAME IS ON ESPN2 Thumbs%20Up

                              Possible Starting Lineups

                                  G - Vandersloot           G - Taurasi
                                  G - Prince                    G - Taylor
                                  C - Fowles                   C - Griner
                                  F - Delle Donne           F - Dupree
                                  F - Young                    F - Bonner

IT'S DO OR DIE TIME!!!

The Sky returns home looking for answers to slow down The Mercury as the first WNBA Finals game come to Allstate Arena. The Sky must shoot better and OBVIOUSLY defend better if they want to win.

The "Big 3" for The Sky of Big Syl, EDD, and EP must all be effective with the supporting cast...and after two games. our ladies should have a good feel for how to defend the Mercury.

Our ladies have no fear...but they must step up the intensity and shoot better while making a concerted effort to get back of defense EVERY TIME.

I HOPE TO SEE THE HOUSE ROCKING AT ALLSTATE TONIGHT!

ALL HANDS ON DECK!!! YOU'RE AT HOME LADIES...DON'T LET PHOENIX CELEBRATE ON YOUR FLOOR!!!

GO SKY!! Clap Thumbs%20Up Cool

As I'm watching this game I get so angry when our ladies are standing around on offense!

Win or lose The Sky needs a better offense! Our players have to do more cutting and moving, to create mismatches.

When The Sky is on defense...notice how NO Phoenix player stands still for long. They're always moving and cutting to create an advantage offensively.

Griner isn't out there. Why aren't our ladies more energetic?

Only Young, Sloot and EDD are really getting after it...

Congrats to Phoenix.

Congrats to all our Sky players, coaches and staff. It was a year of injuries, illness and personal issues, yet the Sky are the Eastern Conference Champions and played in the WNBA Finals. So proud of the team.

Congratulations!

It as a great season for the Sky. To see the team make it to the championships when there was so much adversity all season was just great. I am a proud season ticket holder and love this team.

Being back at UIC made me realize just how lucky we are to be at Allstate Arena. With the 7,300+ fans there you could not move in that place.

I am already thinking about next year and wondering what adjustments Pokey will make. Should be interesting.

Love our team! Nothing but Heart for the Sky!

The Maven Heart (who is glad she is no longer in section 113 at the UIC Pavilion but in section 110 at Allstate Arena)

When you review the season, what our ladies did was phenominal!

With all the injuries and issues they did a great job becoming the East Champs, and getting to the finals.

They got a taste of it...and now they KNOW what it's gonna take to take it all.

My disappointment comes in from the way they played last night. Everyone wasn't hustling...and this was the first WNBA Championship playoff game at home for them.

Here's where I am:

I hope Big Syl and EP will not play overseas in the off season. Both need to give their bodies a break. and remain in the states. They need to think about longevity playing.

I really hope Breland's surgery goes well because she was a huge loss.

The rest we need to simply wait and see how things evolve, because The Sky is definitely going to change some things up.
