Now that the Chicago Sky have made it to the wnba finals, what moves should Pokey make to improve and come back next year to win it all next season?

A. Find a shooting guard that can actually make outside shots.

B. Find backup centers that can play defense and rebound.

C. Find backup Power forwards that can defend and rebound.

D. Find a new offensive scheme that has more ball movement and player movement.

E. Fowles needs to improve the range of her shot and improve her passing ability out of double teams.

F. Vandersloot needs to improve the range of her shot and develop better consistency with her outside shot.

Not sure the status of current player contracts, but believe that we need to re-sign Sloot, Allie, and TY.

That's for sure! Continuity pays off big time. Think about Phoenix...Taurasi, Taylor, Dupree and Bonner have been together how long? THEY KNOW EACH OTHER.

*To sign Sloot with Faulkner as back up SOLIDIFIES PG

*I'm not worried about Syl's back up. I think Gatling is more than adequate. She got her feet wet this year. Next year she'll understand and react better year two.

I think the great need is a better offensive scheme with more motion. That will require players to better read and recognize defenses to KNOW where to go with the ball as well as when to cut to the basket.

1. Outside shooting; need to space the floor to give EDD and Sylvia room to operate

2. Defense; without Fowles we got straight killed by the high pick and roll, and even with her in there we gave up waaayyyy too many layups.  Gatling is quite good offensively for such a young player, but we will need another good help defender if Pokey insists on using Fowles to hedge the pick and roll all the way out to the 3-point line.

I still really like the core of this team, they're young and talented and have a high ceiling.  People are calling for Piph to be traded but this would be a mistake IMO.  Just need a couple of different role players who actually have defined roles...

We also need to re-sign Syl. Pokey expects to re-sign her along with Sloot, TY, and Allie.

Pokey must be working on resigning right away . Sloot and Allie leave for Poland PDQ don't they? Syl and Ty are probably headed overseas as well.

I read somewhere that Sloot and Allie are going to Poland, Tamera to Brazil and Syl to China. In that same article accessed via Twitter (wnbarocks you may have  highlighted it) Pokey was quoted as saying she plans to re-sign all four of them very soon.

It may have been a Trib article...the one about the bright future the Sky have.

I just hope if EP isn't under contract to play overseas, that she'll rest her body and mind for a while.
