These kind of disagreements we are having T_Woodle are the kind I love. Chicago's guard situation is the best I have seen. In fact, Chicago is in outstanding shape as far as there guards are concern. I hope Prince comes into camp ready to play. That is just good news for Chicago. I am hoping we improve the forwards on the team through the draft.

EP is now in her 6th. year playing in the Russian and Euro leagues. Commands a good salary there as she has dual citizenship and doesn't go against the USA player per team limit.(Both Sloot/Polish & Quigley/Hungary have duals also) . I suspect she makes at least 3/4 times the salary there over what she is paid as a top bracket WBA player (isn't WBA Cap at about $120M). Her home is in New York so she is almost 11 months as a player. Age 27 next month and has to be looking ahead as to how long can she keep up the pace. If the WBA could pay higher salaries the problem would be resolved with the players getting more time off. I understand that some newer WBA contracts are putting limitations on dates for overseas playing. It's no wonder EP might be looking at the WBA as first place to slow down. I think everyone is on the same page that if she is up there's no better. The key will be when she starts the new Sky season, if there is another delay look for some quick changes.

I wouldn't worry about it. We have decent depth as it is, let's not fool ourselves into thinking that we lost to the vastly superior Phoenix team just because Piph had a poor series; no need to create a hole in the depth chart just to make a scapegoat of someone. We'd be selling low anyways, so unless some team is dumb enough to offer Pokey a budding star, keeping Piph on this team would be the wise choice for 2015.

No one is suggesting that Pokey trade EP nor that she should be a scapegoat for the Phoenix playoff losses. It appears to be agreement that "when she is up there is no better". Should she delay in starting the season, as occurred last year, I would suspect Pokey would start someone in her place. The matter depends on Piph's attitude and just how much effort she wants to put forth. I would agree that trading Piph is not an option nor does it appear to be even mentioned.

To P51D's comment...it's the nature of the beast playing the WNBA. They get paid more overseas and the wear and tear on the body has to be considered.

That's why I wanted EP to sit this year out overseas, but obviously her contract with Russia made that impossible.

EP left Rutgers early to go overseas and be able to help her family out financially and the constant playing finally led to some burnout.

I just hope it hasn't affected her long term. She's doing well over there, but she's logging over 20 mins a game.

I guess we have to wait and see how she is when she gets back.

The one thing I will say along the lines of Sigur3's point is with the depth the Sky has, EP doesn't have to log heavy mins anymore. That can only result in a drop off in stats...but also better longevity.

UofD is right also...the guard depth is a good problem to have!

Faulkner with 28 points in a win:

The "Q & S connection" (Quigley and Sloot), wins again:

Big Syl with 30 in a win:

For a teaser...Swords is playing in Italy, she scored 15 in a win:

I don't think Swords returns with the upside of Gatling.

How about in replacement of Goodlett or Brandon?

I considered that in a post a while back. The question is...with the flexibility of EDD, do you need 3 centers.

I think Goodlett will be with another team this year.

I like Brandon's game...but she's a 3. Whether she stays, I think depends of if TYoung is resigned.

We just have to wait and see what Pokey does.
