Our ladies are the walking wounded now having lost 2 straight. EDD, and TYoung are down while Parker still isn't 100%.
They played much better against The Fever but still came up short. Could this be a blessing in disguise before the playoffs? Maybe...but all hands have to be on deck. Faulkner broke out finally...she hasn't been playing well. Quigley? Don't know what's up there...but she has to contribute more. Why is Pokey not challenging Boyette to score more by posting her up in the middle? The Sky has dropped to 6th in the playoff hunt as they head to Connecticut. Pokey has to find a way to get more from what she has. The ability is there...but is the will??? We shall see tomorrow. Edited by T_Woodie - 10Sep2016 at 1:02pm |

We started sloppy against the Fever, but eventually got on track. I wish Pokey had Faulkner on the court during the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. It seems like our players stepped up on offense but it's very hard to win when you let the other team score 95 points (even if the last 4 or 6 were free throws in the final minute to get the ball back).
We have to pull it together in Connecticut and get the WIN |

In a way I think this is good playing without EDD right now because with the playoffs on the horizon, should The Sky make it in, we'll know they can play without her.
What I would like to see happen today is again an offensive middle presence with Boyette. We know she's a defensive presence but I think the Sky has to look to Boyette to do more scoring. I know she can because I've seen what she can do. I hope Pokey is willing to demand more from Imani and CHALLENGE her to deliver. Naturally, being a rookie she *may* get into foul trouble but I think Pokey has to let her play though that. Hopefully Quigley can add more offense today and Parker is able to play more. These ladies can do it...IT'S GUT CHECK TIME!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by T_Woodie - 11Sep2016 at 12:12pm |
