The Sky shoots for 4 straight wins as they go against Dallas tomorrow.
We know Dallas will want to avenge the loss against The Sky on 7/12. Some things to note are: *Since Cappie went down with the concussion and Quigley entered the starting lineup they've won 3 straight. *Perhaps* this is the time to bring Cappie off the bench as the the 6th for the rest of the year??? *Even though the ladies got the win at New York, their inside game was absent. With the size The Sky has THEY MUST go for more point's in the paint through Dolson, Boyette, Bree, and Parker. *The fact that Sloot is now in the groove at PG it is UNDENIABLE that the offensive flow is much better as well as the great chemistry Sloot and Quigley have together. *Contribution from bench players Copper, Hampton, and Boyette continues to get better and Coach Stocks is making better substitutions...which I think shows this team has fully embraced how she wants them to play. *Defense is better but still has a ways to go. Sometimes the rotations are coming too slow. The Sky has much tougher matchups coming in Seattle, and LA at the end of this West Coast swing...but first DEAL WITH DALLAS!!!! GO LADIES!!! ![]() |

LACK OF INSIDE SORING...this is something that really concerns me with The Sky this year. It just isn't there enough!
I would really like to see in this game against the Wings...a CONCERTED effort to get some inside points through the bigs. Get the ball Dolson, Bree, Boyette and Parker IN THE FLOW of the game. Not forced...but when it's there GO TO IT!!! Your inside game is just like a muscle!!! You MUST exercise it for it to get stronger!!! This team has to much size to not have better inside scoring. Perimeter shooting has been quite good during this win streak...but WE ALL KNOW that cannot continue...and if you have no inside game YOU'RE IN TROUBLE!!! THIS IS OUR LADIES OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE THEIR MOVE!!! |

Early on Dolson has got two very nice inside scores from Sloot...but she just got hit it ear. Boyette is in now.
Need that inside scoring to pressure Dallas inside and outside. |

Sky up by 6 at the end of the 1st 22-16...
![]() I'm noticing Parker isn't going for her offense hardly at all. I'm thinking her main role is defense and rebounds but she has to take those inside shots when she gets them. |

All due respect to Cappie but all her minutes and usage have gone to players who are better shooters and better distributors. It's not a coincidence that the team offense has been better since she went down. Stocks needs to bring her off the bench when she's healthy again.

Sky up 4 at the half 44-39...
![]() Dolson has logged HEAVY minutes...but she gets a good rest. Right now I'm really liking how Breland has played and Parker has been strong on the boards. I'd like to see Sloot step up in the 2nd half with her dribble penetration like she did in the 1st qtr. |

The Wings are able to stay in the game with foul attempts--26/28 while the Sky has 9/12. Go figure that????

I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU BUT THEN WE'D BOTH BE WRONG

As The Sky goes into overtime I must say I'm upset with Stocks and her use of the bench down the stretch. Particularly not using Boyette and getting more minutes from Hampton.
